thanks hippies

Now my DVD cases have the structural integrity of a card pyramid made out of Zig-Zags.

ultra double-standards man

Just got Ultraman Series 1 volume 2 in the mail and can't help but notice a very slight inconsistency in the care they put into their product.

Here is volume 2 (the last half of the series)

Three discs each in it's own charming little sliver case with interior and exterior art, individualized disc design, and insert. Box 1 has the chapters booklet and typical adverts, box 2 has two trading cards with monster stats, book 3 has the episode guide and monster encyclopedia. All together in a very sharp foil embossed hard box donning the Science Patrol's logo.

Here is volume 1 (the first half of the series)

Two discs packed loosely into a single case, each of them in one of those windowed paper sleeves you get anti-virus software in.

Consistency! SHUWATCH!

Seriously, the night & day difference is about as painful as the original opening versus the dubbed one.

It's like watching Locoroco's theme song being born decades prematurely before it's lungs fully form. Aww :3

Put on your flared collar and bell bottoms it's time for that groovy cat Hayata is about transformify and bust some discotastic moves on some totally heavy kaiju!

I'm kind of scared of what the bootleg Kamen Rider Black complete series will look like now...

the rundown featuring rock johnson

I made this blog about two years ago with full intention of utilizing it. After all, there aren't enough places out there where you can see people's opinions on things they've seen before you see it and form an opinion of your own. Well, today my mom found my blog and rang me up shouting things like, "I thought I told you to never start something you don't finish" and "never leave a job half done." Sorry mom! That never happened.

Perhaps I should sum up everything that happened between December 31 2008 and June 08 2010. Besides making my new years resolution "don't update this blog for two years," I also collected a lot of crap to add to my collection of even more crap I already had. I suppose the rest of this second completely unnecessary introduction is going to serve as an annoyingly pretentious vanity post where I post a bunch of pictures of my craplection (at least the parts of it that aren't so shameful they're currently warping/molding/decaying in a storage shed 12 blocks from here)

Here's a rundown of some of the stuff I'll probably be rambling about in this blog between music uploads and general ranting or possibly posting some of my art if I'm not too embarrassed by it's quality or subject matter (non-furry*).

ADVANCED WARNING: ALL IMAGES TAKEN BY THE AMAZING HD NINTENDO DSi CAMERA, THOUGH THE IMAGES YOU SEE MAY APPEAR TO BE GLIMPSES THROUGH SMALL WINDOWS INTO ANOTHER REALITY THEY ARE SIMPLY STILL LIFE JPGS.

Where the magic happens.

Most of my DVDs. The VHS's have been retired indefinitely and are more than likely melted puddles of plastic and celluloid at this point.

PS2 titles. It should be obvious very early on that I buy a lot of used stuff. Oh man State of Emergency sucks! Oh wait two dollars? Sold!

Wii and DS titles.

It looks like the two stacks of NES games in the back are waiting to jump out and rape the one in the front. Then again it might only look that way to someone who thinks of NES cartridges raping other NES cartridges.

The greatest console in the history of the universe and the N64

Games and movies acquired by "unconventional means" (Hey Rhino, if you ever fork over the money for the rights to the crappy movies no one cares about so you can put out complete MST3K seasons on DVD, I'll burn my complete collection. Until then, I only support Rifftrax.), GBA/DS stuff, comics, TPBs and omnibuses.

Steam purchases, because digital downloads count too?

My most recent purchases, "Doug Masters" complete TNT collection (all I know about this series is that a woman gets impaled on the retractable penis of a Joseph Stalin statue), Duckman seasons 1 & 2, and the complete The Real Ghostbusters series. The real one, not the one with the god damned gorilla and intro theme that will never come close to touching the one and only masterpiece of Ray Parker Jr.

One foot in the grave, the rest to come.

This is the first post, it is neither dynamic or informative.
